Happy Hostess: Baby Sprinkle

1

When I found out my best friend was having a baby girl,  I just knew I wanted to throw a baby sprinkle in her honor. I loved the idea of playing off the baby sprinkle theme and incorporated cute little sprinkle touches such as rain drops and umbrellas.

Being that my son’s Plane’s party was the weekend before, I actually reused all of the cloud decorations and added some raindrops. It was the perfect backdrop for the baby sprinkle!

I set up a book shelf with a bunch of cute headband making supplies as well as printables by Swanky Shindig with song lyrics to the classic song “You Are My Sunshine”.  The open suitcase was a great pop of color as well as an adorable place to house the cake pop party favors.

We munched on a bunch of little bites including these cute tea sandwiches with umbrella food picks.

And what’s a baby sprinkle without a Sprinkled Dessert Table?!  We served a variety of sprinkled treats… how adorable are the mini waffles with sprinkles???  They were yummy too!

One of my favorite touches was the ‘A’ hung above the dessert table. Amelia’s middle name is Rose so I knew I wanted to incorporate a few roses into her baby sprinkle.  I found a wooden ‘A’ at the craft store and hot glued paper roses in coordinating colors to it. I chose the party colors based on the new baby’s nursery so that these sort of cute, personalized details could be used in the nursery afterwards.

We had so much fun celebrating little Miss Amelia, who didn’t want to miss the party and arrived six weeks early!
