During the day, you can unwind near the pool under the two spacious ramadas. With the poolside menu guests can order various dishes and refreshing drinks. In the evening the outdoor gas corner stone fireplace creates a pleasant ambiance.

Lodge on the Desert’s central location means there are many great attractions nearby. Sabino Canyon is great for a morning hike, while the Flandrau Science Center & Planetarium is a great escape from the summer heat.

Whether the day is spent exploring or relaxing, the Lodge on the Desert has an excellent restaurant which offers modern American cuisine with southwest infusion. The menu has been revamped to reflect the tastes of the season. The updated summer offerings include both new entrées and cocktails. Highlights include a Watermelon Salad and Summer Burger for lunch, Mole Frites and Ancho Braised Lamb Shank for dinner, and a Mexican Flower or Summer Essence cocktail from the bar.

As part of the renovations, a new restaurant entrance was created for easier access from the parking lot. The new restaurant entrance leads guests directly from the parking lot to the dining area. Guests are still welcome to take the old path for a scenic walk highlighting the beautiful grounds.
