School starts next week for many valley schools, several Phoenix organizations are collecting supplies for area students in need. As you’re stocking up on supplies and taking advantage of those awesome back to school deals think about doubling up and donating to one of these local supply drives.
Pack to School
As part of the Salvation Army’s 2014 Pack to School Drive the organization is collecting items through July 20th. Donations will support 15 Valley schools. They are requesting backpacks, crayons, markers, notebooks, pens and pencils. Donations can be made at area Bank of Arizona, Fry’s Food stores or Sleep America locations.

Southwest Human Development
More than 135,000 young children will benefit from Southwest Human Development’s back to school drive. School supplies including pens, pencils, papers, notebooks, backpacks, rulers and scissors, are needed. Donations can be dropped off at Southwest Human Development, 2850 N. 24th St., through Aug. 31.

Back-to-School Brigade™
Dollar Tree has teamed up with Operation Homefront for their eighth year of school supply drives. Collection bins will be setup through August 15th at 5,000 Dollar Tree Stores nationwide.

Boys & Girls Clubs of America Back to School Drive
Through July 30th University of Phoenix and Apollo Education Group will be collecting school supplies.
Anthem Outlets Collection
Collection bins will be setup at the Outlets at Anthem through August 24. They will be collecting to help students at Children First Academy. Donations of clothing, shoes, school, hygiene and food basics will be accepted. Cash donations will be accepted in the center’s food court eateries.

Back to School Bash at Norterra
August 2nd from 6– 8:30 PM
Come celebrate the new school year with Radio Disney and the Shops at Norterra. There will be carnival games, food samples, FREE popcorn, and FREE Tropical Sno. Radio Disney will be on hand to provide music and entertainment as well as face painters and green screen photo booths. The first 50 teachers at the event will receive a $10 gift card for the shops. You can enter to WIN tickets (2) for One Direction at participating stores too. Special prize drawing for those that bring school supplies to donate for Boys & Girls club.
