Quick and Easy Smoothie Recipes for Moms on the Go!

When you’re running around all morning, getting the kids ready for school, and trying to get yourself going as well, what’s your morning fuel? Smoothies are a great meal-on-the-go for kids and moms. Today we are sharing two nutritious (and delicious!) smoothie recipes courtesy of Core by Liz

Ingredients

½ frozen banana

½ avocado

2 c spinach

2 clementines, peeled or a handful of berries of your choice – we love strawberries! 

1 scoop Cinnamon Swirl Whey Protein or Vanilla Whey Protein 

½ c ice

8 oz water or almond milk

Instructions

  1. Pour liquid into the blender first, then add the rest of the ingredients.
  2. Blend until smooth.
  3. Enjoy!

Macros using clementines, cinnamon protein and water :: 400 calories, 48 g carbs, 11 g fat, 30 g protein

Morning Mocha Buzz

Ingredients

1 frozen banana

1 tsp cacao powder

1 tsp instant espresso

2 tbsp PB2 (powdered peanut butter)

1 scoop Chocolate Whey Protein

8 oz cold coffee

Instructions

  1. Pour coffee into the blender first, then add the rest of the ingredients.
  2. Blend until smooth.
  3. Enjoy!

Macros :: 270 calories, 36 g carbs, 2 g fat, 31 g protein
