A little more about the brand behind the bag.

Stilo 502.

They are a local company that “embrace [the] Guatemalan heritage, giving love back to the people… [Owner Deidre Turley] works with local artisans to take traditional Guatemalan bags and uses that as inspiration to have those special Stilo502 designs, as well as bringing some “tipico” bags to the Americas. A mix of old, and new!”

Huipil = Handmade Products

Guatemalan women have hand-woven their clothing on a back strap loom for centuries and pass along the tradition through the years. The fabric is called Huipil.

When a huipil is finished it is a work of art and can sometimes take months to complete. Each Huipil blouse is different from the next making it truly one of a kind.

We work with local Guatemalan artisans to recycle the traditional huipil into handbags and these other handmade goods that is unique to the Stilo502 customer, as well as hunt out those special treasures created by the Mayans themselves.

All of the items we create or trade are handmade and 100% Made in Guatemala.
