Valentine’s Day Party Inspiration

1

Remember back in the day when all you wanted on Valentine’s Day was a red rose from your boyfriend and you didn’t even care if it was from the gas station (you know the rose I’m talking about. . . with the baby’s breath).?  Or…maybe even a nice dinner out?  Fast forward to the day you had a kid or two and all of a sudden Valentine’s transformed into a holiday more about the kids than your husband. . . please tell me I’m not the only one!

Even if Valentine’s Day is more about the kids now, I can’t help but smile and feel happy when I see adorable parties like these filling my social media feeds. I absolutely love the idea of a Valentine’s Day breakfast for the whole family. . . not only because it’s cute, but because I can control the amount of sugar involved, since I know we will all be eating candy the rest of the day.

Setting up a simple breakfast bar display, or setting the table with a little something extra special on “the day of love” is sure to send your entire family off with happy hearts for the day. Your local dollar store or Target dollar aisle are fantastic places to find inexpensive décor to pull off any of these looks. . . you could even add one of those gas station roses if you want!
