We think Lucia is just a doll and the story of how Luci’s Healthy Marketplace all started is fantastic. You’ll have to find her to ask her about it someday. What I will tell you is that Luci’s makes good stuff, that you can feel good about eating and you can feel good about your children eating too.
I’ll also tell you that they’re making a huge expansion, which should be ready around September. Located off of 12th Street and Glendale they’re making an amazing space called Luci’s Orchard (or so I’ve been told). This thing will have a park and splash pad for the kids, a juice shop, coffee area, huge restaurant area with private event rooms and so much more! I’m pretty excited about this and can’t wait to see the finished product. I love seeing how Lucia is bringing the community into her business even more and what mom doesn’t love the idea of buying a picnic basket and sitting on the grass with a coffee while the kids burn off some energy on the splash pad. 
Enough of that though, now you should eat with your eyes. Above is the Luci’s famous all natural burger, A half-pound Niman Ranch all natural, grass-fed angus sirloin patty (cooked the way you like it) with sautéed mushrooms, red onion, apple wood smoked bacon and a choice of cheddar, Swiss or provolone cheese on a delicious brioche roll. Served with tater tots. 
Here we have the kale salad and you can add chicken or wild Alaskan salmon (we recommend the salmon). For not being a fan of kale this salad is a homerun and I have a feeling it’s because they brine their kale, which makes consumption a lot more appealing. You’ll find fresh cut Italian black kale, lemon, diced Roma tomatoes, toasted almonds and parmesan cheese topped with basil cucumber dressing.
Every Tuesday they do a special Taco Tuesday dish you should definitely try out and for dessert you can find some local Urban Cookies cupcakes or we noshed on the flourless chocolate cake, which was like eating a gooey rich brownie.
