One of my favorite Frank Sinatra tunes is “Luck, Be a Lady Tonight,” and I’ll surely be humming that on Friday. Why, do you ask? Well, because I’ll be attending the Hearts 4 Clubs Charity Casino Night fundraiser benefiting the Boys & Girls Clubs of Metro Phoenix…want to come with me?
We’ll enjoy treats and tastes from Dierks Bentley’s Whiskey Row in Scottsdale, play blackjack, poker, and craps, and generally pretend we’re high rollers in Monaco or some exotic place…and not feel guilty about any of it, because it’s all for a good cause!
The Boys & Girls Clubs of Metro Phoenix (BGCMP) provides after-school and summer programs at 13 clubhouses, focusing on four key areas: Academic Success, Healthy Choices, Be Great – Do Good, and Fun with a Purpose. My children have benefited from The Boys & Girls Clubs, and I’ll wager some of yours have too (see what I did there?). So come on out and join me for a night of cards & cocktails, meet the staff and board members, and consider becoming involved in BGCMP’s Connect Volunteer Group as well. You could have a hand in one of their four major fundraising campaigns which aim to bring in $125,000 annually to support children in need.
