STYLE: Our Mascara Picks

5

I must confess…right now, I probably have at least 5 kinds of mascara in my makeup bag. I am constantly trying new kinds that I receive from Birchbox or Ipsy and ones I hear about from friends.  I even like to use coats of 2 different kinds of mascara because I feel like I get better results that way.

I asked some of our contributors for their favorite mascaras because I love to hear which ones my friends like and why they like them.  Here are some more of our favorite picks!

Maybelline Great Lashes Lots Of Lashes Mascara.

My go-to mascara is an oldie-but-goody.  It is also available anywhere and is only about $5!  This is my and Rachel’s favorite, she said:

I love the applicator and full coverage…makes those lashes pop!

Maybelline Volum’ Express Mascara

This is Krystle’s favorite and here is what she had to say about it:

I have tried quite a few expensive brands, and I keep coming back to this one.  It is not clumpy, makes my lashes look really long, and comes off very easily 😉

ULTA Voluptuous Volume Mascara

This is Jessie’s choice.  She told me:

I wear contacts, so I am super picky about mascaras as I need one that doesn’t run if my eyes water, but also does not dry so hard that it damages the limited supply of eyelashes I have.  This one does just that!  Provides length and definition and makes it through my day with me…but comes off easily at night without taking my lashes with it!  Great price-point too!

Lancome Hypnose Mascara

Here is what Stacey said about her favorite:

I like a notch above natural and don’t do clumpy…I have tried various less expensive mascaras over the years but always go back to this one.  I am super impressed by its quality and staying power.  Go for a second coat for an evening/ more dramatic look.

Benefit Cosmetics BADgal Mascara

What Nichole said about her fave:

This wand gets deep into the root of the lashes, leaving them lengthy and voluminous.

Estee Lauder Sumptuous Extreme Lash Multiplying Volume Mascara

Here’s what Emily says:

I know there’s a lot going on there in the name, but I really don’t use it for all of that. Bottom line, this mascara doesn’t bother my eyes.  I’ve had to change up mascara a lot because my eyes are sensitive.  My sister has the same issue and told me this mascara didn’t bother her.  I tried it and it worked for me too!

If you are looking for local cosmetics, Healthy Skin AZ has Lash Defining Mascara, which is vegan and paraben free.  It is definitely on my list to try!
