As moms ourselves, we know that finding the perfect summer camps mean fun-filled, and stress-free summers!  We are eager to present our 2018 Ultimate Guide to Summer Camps in Phoenix, and hope it provides you some insight as you make your summer plans!

ASU Ira A. Fulton Schools of Engineering

Do you like to build, create, solve problems and learn about science, technology, engineering and math? The Ira A. Fulton Schools of Engineering offer fun and engaging hands-on STEM experiences and summer camps for K-12 students at ASU’s Tempe and Polytechnic campuses.

Phoenix Center for the Arts

At Phoenix Center for the Arts Summer Camps, children ages 6-12 will experience a full day (9am-4pm) of professional instruction in visual and performing arts. Classes include Music, Dance, Drama, and Visual Arts. At the end of each Camp session, the Center will hold a performance showcasing what the campers have learned and created! Summer Camps are held both in north Phoenix at Thunderbird Arts Center and at our downtown Phoenix campus. Just $375 for each 2-week camp session. The Children's Museum of Phoenix

Give your child(ren) a summer packed with hands-on learning and fun! Each unique camp week includes games and activities designed to cultivate the minds and muscles of children ages 5-8. Campers will also have plenty of time to play within all three floors of the Museum’s imaginative exhibits. Here they’ll build confidence and self-esteem, make friends and lasting memories. iD Tech

At iD Tech Camps, students ages 7-17 learn to code, design video games, produce videos, mod Minecraft, create with Roblox, engineer robots, model and print 3D characters, work with AI and machine learning, build laptops, learn about cybersecurity, and more! Weeklong, day and overnight summer programs that instill in-demand skills and embolden students to shape the future.

Arizona Humane Society

Arizona Humane Society offers a whole lineup of summer camps for kids interested in learning more about animals and animal careers. Summer animal camps teach kids how to train and care for animals, be responsible pet guardians, align their choices with their values and make our community a safer place for all animals. Campers will have hands-on learning opportunities with a variety of animals.

AHS offers 8 weeks of summer camp from June 4th – August 3rd.

Cactus Day Camp

Cactus Day Camp provides an accredited full day “traditional” camp program five days a week for 2, 4, 6 or 8 weeks where safety is the priority, friendships are fostered, healthy lifestyles are encouraged and your child’s fun is unlimited. Days are filled with many of our over 20 activities including: archery, swimming, gaga, gaming, team sports, tumbling, crafts, cooking, dance, model rocketry, 9 square and more. Fridays culminate each week with a special camp-wide event. Campers gain independence, a sense of belonging and skills in an emotionally and physically safe non-competitive environment. There is an optional lunch program, transportation options, and extended hours available.

Imagine That!

Imagine That! offers 30+ specialty camps for children age 3-11, located in Paradise Valley. Jump Start classes begin at 8:00 a.m. Mon-Thurs  9 a.m.-noon $275 | 9 a.m.-3 p.m. $489. 

7-11 year olds: American Girl, Dance: High School Musical 2, Young Mad Scientists, Kids’ Concoctions, Earth and Beyond, Sports Zone, Fine Arts, Girls Just Want to Have Fun Play-Well Teknology: Lego, Crazy Cup Cake Wars, Mission Impossible, Challenges, News Reporters, Hogwarts, Gymnastics and more!

Maricopa County Reads

Maricopa County Reads is an online summer reading program for all ages! This year’s theme is “Libraries Rock!” The program emphasizes the fun of reading, building your home library, and community. Musicology

Musicology offers musical learning classes for newborns – 4 year olds with musical instruments, creative movement, dancing, singing and exciting, colorful props that develop your child’s language, rhythm, physical coordination, social skills and more! Locations in Scottsdale, Chandler and Northwest Phoenix.

Sportball

Keep your kids active and engaged this summer with Sportball’s half-day Sports camps! We introduce children to two new sports a day as well as WATERPLAY games and activities PLUS arts and crafts, snack time, stories, music, cooperative games and more! Sportball is a fundamental based multi-sport program for kids. Your children will learn the basic concept of eight core sports: soccer, basketball, t-ball, football, tennis, golf, hockey and volleyball. Sportball uses sports instruction as a way to help teach and refine both gross motor and social skills. Summer Camp located at Scottsdale Gym for Kids.

More Than Modeling

More Than Modeling teaches life skills through modeling classes in a week-long day camp during school holidays for 5-15 year olds in Scottsdale and Phoenix. We cover how to pose and walk the runway, as well as fashion and beauty. Hidden lessons in nutrition, science, geography and math are also part of the curriculum; your child gets a great education while having fun!

New Way Academy

Ignite Day Camp is an inclusive summer day camp experience with something for everyone! Phoenix Country Day School

The Phoenix Country Day School Summer Program is a six-week program that runs June 11-July 20 in two-week sessions for grades K-12. Through grade 8, students create their own half-day or full-day schedule with academic classes and enrichment options in technology, music, sports, theater, and art. Students participating in the full-day program select afternoon electives such as arts and crafts, swimming, rec room, gym games, and more. Facilities include swimming pools, athletic fields, tennis courts, two air-conditioned gymnasiums, art studios, and computer labs. Full-service lunch and extended day available.

Following our STEM-based curriculum, Arizona Animal Welfare League offers week-long summer camps from June through August for kids ages 6-17. Your camper will learn fun animal facts, animal care, the basics of veterinary medicine, animal anatomy and physiology plus the importance of responsible pet ownership. Plus, daily animal interactions, tons of cool activities and intriguing guest speakers! Your camper will receive a cool camp T-shirt and water bottle.
