Jennifer is a Phoenix native, mother to two wild toddlers and is married to her high school sweetheart. She graduated from The University of Arizona with a B.F.A. in Art education with an emphasis in painting in 2008. She is an Art Teacher, Artist, and Semi-professional Photographer. She loves to talk about all things natural, and is always planning her next family adventure. She started the blog hawks and honey to share about everyday life including her local food club project. Jen is an Arizona native, born in Flagstaff but a Phoenician since childhood. She has been married to a man who encourages her to take risks. She has 2 children, Amelia and Henry, who keep her busy every day. She enjoys local festivals, workshops, brunch and a good coffee date. As a Prenatal and Mommy & Me Yoga instructor at Modern Milk, she is passionate about making health and fitness accessible to every mom. Ashley is an Arizona native and is married to her stud husband Brandon. Together they have two crazy adorable kids; Ellie and Eli. When Ashley is not chasing and cuddling her kids, or hiking mountains with her husband, she focuses on her career as a Mortgage Advisor for Pinnacle Capital Mortgage. Ashley has over 10 years of experience in digital marketing- helping a variety of businesses with graphic design, online marketing, advertising, and blogging. She is now assisting Real Estate agents with their marketing needs to help build a relationship with them and grow her mortgage business. Charlie Allred is mom to twin daughters Ceci and Edi, a Scottsdale real estate broker and a type 1 diabetic. She loves helping her clients find the best home for their family to grow and thrive. Born and raised in Phoenix, Felicia married her high school sweetheart and became a mother to a beautiful baby girl in March of 2016. An experienced educator, she graduated from Arizona State University with a B.A. in Elementary Education, a M.A. in Curriculum and Instruction: Language and Literacy and spent seven incredible years teaching in the heart of South Phoenix. Known to be a total sap, Felicia has no shame in admitting that she cries at just about anything: movies, sentimental commercials, and yes, even sporting events when she is overcome with happiness for a complete stranger’s accomplishments. She’s a serial creator, constantly dreaming up new ideas and ventures. Katie and her husband have called North Phoenix home since 2009. Katie is fully embracing boy mom life, as the mother to an energetic 3 year old who is known to introduce himself by saying “Hi, my name is Colton, I have fast shoes.” Katie is also welcoming a brand new baby boy scheduled to make his arrival mid-April 2017. In her spare time you will find Katie searching out the best deals for anything and everything or trying out new apps, software, and products that will increase her efficiency so she has more time to partake in her favorite activities: relaxing with her boys, taking power naps, and learning new skills! As someone who loves school and plans to be a lifelong learner Katie received her Bachelor of Science in Individualized Studies: Business & Marketing Education from Central Washington University in 2008 and then continued her studies at the University of Arizona where she obtained her Master’s in Higher Education with an emphasis in Access & Success in 2010. While working at ITT Technical Institute Katie was able to earn her MBA in 2012. She is an educational professional with almost 10 years experience in Career and Technical Education and Higher Education. Nikki is an Arizona native who is married to her best friend. She is a a newly second time mama of two handsome little boys, Jacob and her newbie, Owen. When not embracing mom life, Nikki puts her nursing degree to good use. Nursing has provided her with an amazing community of mom friends and plenty of playmates for her little guys. She comes from a big family and is thrilled to have been able to add to her clan. Lauren is the proud mom of two spunky little boys, wife and business owner. She holds a Masters of Business Administration degree, is a marketing communications professional and owner of Auriga Marketing. While she was born in Phoenix, she grew up in Temecula, California and moved back to attend Xavier College Preparatory. After high school she ventured to Denver for college (and skiing) and then on to Honolulu a couple years after graduating. She and her husband returned to Arizona in 2012 and made Central Phoenix their home. They love to travel and experience different cultures, having a deep appreciation for a warm beach and sand between their toes. When she isn’t chasing after two boys or playing with their overly energetic dogs, she can be found working on a home DIY project, trying out a new recipe or planning their next family adventure. Haley is an Arizona transplant who moved here from San Diego 12 years ago. She married her husband Nick in 2013 and they welcomed their son Emerson in December two years later. After the birth of their son Haley decided to leave her corporate job in order to stay home and spend more time with her family; a family that seems to be growing since a puppy, Nala, joined the crew in October and a baby girl is expected to make her debut in the summer of 2017. If Haley’s not watching HGTV or running after an active toddler there is a good chance she’s at Spotlight Youth Theater a local non-profit where she teaches dance. Brighid was born and raised in Tempe with her two brothers and two sisters. As the fourth of five children, she’s very aware how her first-born Welsh husband, Adam, and first-born daughter, Brynn, will play the role of the “smarty pants, know-it-alls” in her family. Joking aside, Brighid has a degree in creative writing with a minor in classics from U of A and received her M.Ed from ASU in secondary English education. As a part-time humanities teacher at ASU Preparatory Academy in downtown Phoenix, Brighid focuses on drama, computer science, media and technology, as well as journalism. She’s passionate about dancing with the “Beatbugs” alongside her daughter, AZ road trips, Spotify playlists, Anna Faris podcasts, modern astrology, and shaktipat kundalini yoga. Molly, a professional writer and editor with 17 years of experience, has been obsessed with the written word since she learned to hold a pen. From interviewing longtime U.S. Senator John McCain to eating lavish eight-course meals in the name of research, she covers topics across the board and tackles each one with passion and enthusiasm (especially the food-related ones!) Molly and her husband of 14 years have two children, Jimmy and Saylor. Together they cook, eat, travel, play and try to make the most of every single day. Danielle and her husband met at Arizona State University and have been living in North Phoenix since 2010. They have an energetic son and sweet daughter who bring more joy, laughter and laundry than they ever thought possible. Danielle serves as the Chief Communications Officer for one of the largest school districts in the state where she also received her K-12 education. She and her family are playground connoisseurs who are always in search of the latest and greatest neighborhood gems. Danielle cherishes 5 a.m. trips to the gym where she spends a solid hour to herself a few mornings a week. A real treat for her could be catching a hot yoga class, enjoying a girls’ day at the spa, taking in a live theater performance or stealing away for a weekend trip alone with her husband. Danielle has been known to indulge in a reality show or two and should never be left alone with a spoon in the ice cream aisle of the grocery store. She is passionate about providing opportunities for young people and believes that education is the answer to everything.
Dajana is a Yugoslavian refugee living in North Phoenix, married to her hunky crush, Nelson, and mommy to little drummer boy, Eli. She graduated from Arizona State University with a B.A. in English Education and is currently pursuing her M.A. in English Higher Education. When she is not wrangling her son, she can be found wrangling college students at Grand Canyon University. Dajana is a self-prescribed “seeker” and can be found trying anything and everything new. Some of her favorite things include: the sound of her son’s laugh, tea, books, podcasts, yoga, chatting with a girlfriend, and snuggles from her husband. Her guilty pleasures include wine and a good book during Epsom salt baths, binge-watching episodes of This is Us, and daydreaming about interior decorating and beach vacations.
Rachel is a first-time-mom and second generation native to AZ. She is a “Jacqueline” of all trades and a master of none. She is a foodie wannabe and likes to try new restaurants any chance she gets. She is a lover of all things local and handmade. She is a lifetime learner and reads historical plaques wherever she goes. Thankfully, her baby can’t protest (yet) and tags along for all of their family adventures. Her husband is kind and patient enough to stop for all the pictures she wants to take, ALL the time. Erica was born and raised in California with a gypsy soul. She spent several years traveling overseas in Europe and across the United States with her family until she settled down in Phoenix 11 years ago to put down some roots (for a little while at least). Erica is a proud wife and mother to three children. She is also an overly enthusiastic dog-mom to her French Bulldog, Hans. Erica works in public relations for a local school district as a creative designer, and also plans events and youth leadership conferences to connect the community to quality education. Always a hustler, she moonlights as a licensed aesthetician, providing services and trying out new beauty products. Of all of her jobs, being mom is her favorite. She is passionate about helping other moms find comfort as they work through this thing called parenting, whether that’s with a helpful tip, a funny story or an idea to pamper themselves.
Renae is a native Phoenician and mom to three super cute kids, Connor, Noah, and Audrey! She fell hopelessly in love with her husband while working as a nurse’s assistant in the hospital. She now has a busy life as a stay-at-home mommy! When not helping with homework, making lunches, or changing diapers, she finds time to post on her blog, This Familee; her blog includes information on all her favorite things and busy mommy adventures. She enjoys iced vanilla lattes, diet coke, and the occasional double-stuffed oreo. She also loves spending time with her church family where she stays busy leading the nursery team and supporting lots of young, new mothers. Sara is an Arizona native who grew up in North Phoenix and has been married to her high school sweetheart, Jake, for almost seven years. They have an energetic little boy, and just welcomed a sweet baby girl into this world. The true boss of the household is Cici, their Pomeranian, who wishes she still remained an only child. Sara majored in accounting at the University of Arizona and received her master’s in taxation from Arizona State (although she remains a Wildcat at heart!) Sara finds so much joy in helping people plan for the future through financial planning and tax preparation. Some of Sara’s favorite things include: outdoor adventures, hot yoga, sushi, coffee, wine and running (which probably more closely resembles slow jogging). While Sara is a true introvert at heart who thrives on a night-in at home with the family, she is trying to be more adventurous, hence joining the North Phoenix Moms Blog team!
Megan is an Arizona native and married her college sweetheart, Casey. Together they have two sweet and fearless girls, Lux and Emerson. She has a doctorate in physical therapy and practiced in pediatrics before deciding to stay at home after her first daughter was born. When she’s not chasing her kids around, she’s assisting her husband with his ice cream business, Casey’s Ice Cream Dogs. She enjoys going on family camping trips, running, checking out the local farmer’s markets and spending time with her girls. She is also a huge animal-lover, and has a soft spot for her two pups, Zeus and Wrigley.
Rachel has lived in Arizona for 13 years, deeply loving all that the desert has to offer. She is originally from Pennsylvania. She graduated from Penn State with a degree in print and photojournalism, exactly 60 years after her grandmother graduated. Rachel married her husband Scott, an engineer, in 2013, and they welcomde the sassy Dottie Grayce in 2016, on the hottest day of the year. Rachel is a professional chef, food writer and photographer, food stylist, and baby led weaning advocate. After working in many restaurants, coffee shops, hotels, and resorts, Rachel decided to launch her own company, Pistol Whipped Pastry, in 2011. Rachel has been a contributor for Arizona Vines & Wines Magazine, Stratejoy.com, Phoenix New Times, and Chow Bella blog. She has written pieces for the Christian Science Monitor, Green Living AZ, Phoenix Magazine, and YourZenMama.com. When not working, Rachel is hanging out with Scott and Dottie, fixing up their new home, traveling all around Arizona, drinking Arizona wine, gardening, and cooking for friends and family.
